HERTFORD, N.C. (WITN) - Three people have died after a home caught on fire in Hertford.
Perquimans County Emergency Services says their 911 Communications Center received a call early Saturday morning for a house fire in the 1900 block of Harvey Point Road.
Officials say the fire was brought under control, with only two survivors. Perquimans County Sheriff’s Office units remain on the scene Saturday morning.
Five other local agencies assisted the sheriff’s office in the fire, and the North Carolina State Fire Marshal’s Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation are assisting with the investigation.
