In one such matter, two appeals titled as Rani Sharma v/s Kuljeet Kaur u/s 138 NI Act (Cheque bouncing case), were taken up by the bench of Sh. Barinder Singh Ramana, Ld. Addl. Sessions Judge, Ludhiana in the National Lok Adalat held today.

The appeal was filed on 29.10.2024 and today the matter was taken up in the National Lok Adalat and with the efforts of Ms. Harpreet Kaur Randhawa, Ld. District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairperson, District Legal Services Authority, Ludhiana the cheque amount of Rs.30,00,000/- was settled for Rs.11,50,000/-.

The convict/appellant accordingly agreed to pay the compromised amount of Rs. 11,50,000/- so settled in the National Lok Adalat by next date of hearing of the appeal. Both the parties mutually agreed to set
