CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was killed in a West Side shooting on Saturday, according to Chicago police.

The shooting happened at about 3:06 a.m. in the 700 block of N. Lawndale Avenue in East Garfield Park, police said.

A 24-year-old man was shot in the chest. Police said his friends dropped him off at Stroger hospital where he died.

CPD said witnesses were not cooperating with the investigation.

Nobody is in custody.

The victim has not been identified.
