There’s a reason “easy” is one of recipe developers’ favorite adjectives, including, I’ll admit it, mine. It immediately grabs readers’ attention, especially those less than confident in their cooking abilities. But it doesn’t tell you everything — and can mean different things to different people. Does it convey simple? Fast? Beginner-friendly? Minimal ingredients? Some or all of the above?
