Calle Jarnkrok’s agents shoots down a verbal agreement rumor to head overseas next year
TSN: The agent, Filip Andreason, for Toronto Maple Leafs forward Calle Jarnkrok shot down the Aftonbladet report that he has verbal deal in place to play for Brynas of the SHL when his contract is up after the season.
“In light of Aftonbladet’s article, Newport Sports can deny that Calle Järnkrok has a verbal agreement with Brynäs for next season,” Andreason said, per a translation. “The information is incorrect and unfounded, and no negotiations are taking place with Brynäs or any other club for the upcoming season.”
The 34-year-old Jarnkrok carries a $2.1 million cap hit this season. He played for Brynas for four years before coming to North America.
