Several arrests have been made under the secret collaboration between the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This latest development, the Trump administration's immigration crackdown, fuels the public's growing concern about sudden deportations initiated by ICE, and, worse, would cause even longer wait times at airport security checkpoints.

According to a report by the New York Times , a former TSA official said that these additional airport activities between the TSA and ICE could distract security checkpoints, causing longer passenger wait times. TSA checkpoints at airports are already painful for many travelers, especially at high-traffic hubs, and another federal enforcement activity would only delay their travel.
