AMES, Iowa —

Starting next year, Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will offer its Garden Academy horticulture training statewide.

The 10-week online program features videos, a broad range of horticultural topics to help gardeners build practical knowledge and skills and two track programs: Iowa Master Gardener Volunteer or Iowa Home Gardener . Both tracks complete the same training.

Applications for the spring Iowa Master Gardener track will be open from Jan. 5 through Jan. 30 on the Iowa Master Gardener website , with a list of participating counties. Iowa Home Gardener participants will be able to purchase their spot in the course starting Feb. 2.
