36-year-old man killed after being struck by car in Washington

A 36-year-old man is dead after being struck by a car in Washington on Friday evening, state police said.

Darwin Mauricio Arce of Danbury was struck and killed on Friday around 5:21 p.m. on Route 202 in Washington, according to the Connecticut State Police .

A Subaru Crosstrek, driven by an 85-year-old from New York, New York, was traveling eastbound on Route 202 when it struck Arce. The man sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash, state police said.

The driver of the vehicle did not report any injuries, according to state police.

This crash is currently under investigation, state police said.
