The attorney for Kevin Rodriguez Zavala's family said a resolution has been reached between Universal and the family following his death on an Epic Universe rollercoaster earlier this year .

Attorney Ben Crump, who was representing the 32-year-old's family, released the following statement on Saturday:

"The family of Kevin Rodriguez Zavala and Universal have reached an amicable resolution in this matter. The terms are confidential. The family is grateful for the community's support and asks for privacy at this time."

Rodriguez Zavala died after riding the Stardust Racers rollercoaster at Epic Universe on Sept. 17. According to the final report on his death, Rodriguez Zavala had hit his head multiple times on the first hill of the coaster and was found unresponsive when the rollercoa
