The Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi, which rose from 431 at 4 PM to 441 at 6 PM, showcased a worsening trend with winds, stable atmospheric conditions, leading to lack of pollutant dispersion. In response, the CAQM Sub-Committee on GRAP has decided to implement all Stage-IV measures under the existing GRAP for ‘Severe+’ air quality (AQI > 450) across the entire NCR, in addition to ongoing actions under Stages I–III. NCR pollution control authorities and relevant agencies have been instructed to further intensify preventive measures to curb the deterioration of air quality.
