RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Arctic air is set to plunge temperatures into the teens Sunday night, with widespread wind chills in the single digits expected through mid-morning Monday.
According to the National Weather Service , this cold snap brings elevated risks for cold exposure. Adding to the chill, gusty northwest winds of 15 to 25 mph will bring peak gusts up to 35 mph. These winds could easily send unsecured outdoor items, including holiday decorations, flying.
A Cold Weather Advisory will be in effect for all of Central North Carolina from Sunday at 6 p.m. through Monday at 9 a.m.
