LEWISTON, Idaho - Investigators are trying to determine what caused the deadly explosion of a U-Haul truck the parking lot of the Lewiston Old Navy.

It happened at 7:15 Saturday morning.

"At this time, there is no indication the incident is criminal in nature,” said Lewiston Fire Marshal Julian Sorrell.

Investigators say the truck was transporting flammable materials, including gas and propane tanks.

The blast caused damage to the Old Navy and nearby Courtyard Marriott.

While the explosion doesn't appear to be criminal in nature, investigators want people to avoid the area for now.
