Slava Vakarchuk is one of Ukraine’s biggest rock stars. But first he was a politician, setting up one of Ukraine’s opposition parties. He’s left politics behind and now his songs have become a wartime rallying cry. He regularly performs on the frontline and in subway stations, which double up as air raid bunkers.
Tonight he is playing live at another station – London’s St Pancras to raise funds for a children’s hospital bombed by Russia.
