In less than a week, American Airlines will mark the debut of its first-ever Airbus A321XLR revenue flight, scheduling a December 18 service from New York JFK to Los Angeles to be flown by N303NY. This premium-heavy aircraft can seat up to 155 passengers across three cabin classes, including the airline's new Flagship Suite product.
The A321XLR's debut will coincide with the beginning of American's hectic winter holiday schedule, set to be larger than last year, with the airline planning over 119,000 flights from December 18 to January 5, 2026.
