H industan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is expected to deliver five LCA Mk-1A fighter aircraft and three HTT-40 basic trainer aircraft to the Indian Air Force (IAF) by the end of the financial year 2025–26, lower than its earlier delivery targets.

Earlier, HAL had planned to hand over 10 LCA Mk-1A fighters and 12 HTT-40 trainers during the same period. However, according to a report by Hindustan Times, the revised timeline is mainly due to delays in engine supplies and the need to complete important weapon trials for the LCA Mk-1A.

HT reports claims citing sources that production of both aircraft types has been impacted by the slow delivery of engines from overseas suppliers.
