TEMPE, Ariz. — The holiday season is kicking off in Tempe with the Fantasy of Lights Boat Parade at Tempe Lake.

The event is fun for the whole family as Tempe Lake is transformed into "the most magical place in the Valley."

Thousands of people are expected to attend the parade, according to the City of Tempe.

The city said there will be "lights, music, and holiday cheer under the stars."

Kids will get the chance to write letters to Santa. Not to mention getting a photo op with the jolly guy.

Plus, attendees can expect lots of festive food and treats.

Vendors will be on hand to sell holiday-themed merchandise.

The city said there will also be live entertainment.
