Gloucester City manager Daf Williams was delighted after his side battled past Worthing, winning 5-3 on penalties after the Isuzu FA Trophy tie finished 3-3 after 90 minutes.

Worthing dominated much of the first half, enjoying the majority of possession and probing the City backline.

Their pressure told in the 45th minute when some slick build-up play set up Teddy Jenks, who finished clinically to give the visitors a deserved lead at the break.

The second half began in similar fashion, with Worthing again on the front foot.

However, Gloucester drew level after a strong challenge high up the pitch from Harry Emmett allowed Elis Watts to collect the ball and curl a fine effort home.
