DES MOINES, Iowa — Trevian Carson scored 29 points to help lead North Dakota State to a 99-94 victory against Drake on Saturday in nonconference NCAA Division I men's basketball before 3,056 fans at the Knapp Center.
The Bison (9-3) have won four consecutive games. Carson shot 11 of 15 from the field, including 5-for-7 shooting from 3-point range. He also had seven rebounds. Andy Stefonowicz added 22 points, including 6-for-7 shooting on 3-pointers.
NDSU shot 58% (19 of 33) from 3-point range. The Bison made 11 3-pointers in the first half to build a 55-41 halftime lead. Carson netted 18 points in the opening 20 minutes. Damari Wheeler-Thomas added 14 points, three rebounds and nine assists.
The Bison next play at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, against Minnesota Crookston at the Sanford Health
