Colts quarterback Daniel Jones had surgery on his torn Achilles tendon in New York on Tuesday and is expected to be out for 6 to 8 months, according to ESPN. That timeframe would have him cleared for training camp next summer, ESPN is reporting.
Kirk Cousins tore his Achilles tendon in Week 8 of the 2023 season with the Vikings and was back on the field for training camp after signing with the Atlanta Falcons, nine months after the injury. It's unclear if he could have returned sooner -- as Jones will have to -- if he has suffered the injury later in the season.
