STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A very merry Christmas Party came to life when the South Beach Civic Association celebrated its annual holiday gathering at the Crystal Room in South Beach.

The evening saw more than 200 high-spirited guests raise their glasses to toast the holiday season and enjoy the company of Santa himself.

DJ Tim Turbiak and his assistant Tom, who provided musical entertainment, kept the energy high with music that spanned generations — and with a conga line that traveled around the perimeter of the dance floor.

An impressive display of 47 handcrafted raffle baskets, thoughtfully designed by RoseAnn McAllister, South Beach Civic Association vice president; Susan Hansen; and Jean Tarantino, were up for grabs throughout the evening.
