RHODE ISLAND, USA — At least 2 people have been killed and several others injured in a shooting at Brown University on Saturday, an Associated Press source says.

Police and university officials say "multiple" people were hurt as the school issued an active shooter alert and urged students and staff to take shelter during the second day of final exams.

Police did not immediately release details about the victims’ conditions or the circumstances of the shooting. Brown University said victims were taken to hospitals, but also did not release details of conditions.
