A Unite the Kingdom rally organised by Tommy Robinson appeared to pass peacefully today, with hundreds of people attending a carol concert to "put the Christ back into Christmas ".
Supporters of Tommy Robinson gathered in Whitehall, donning Santa hats and Christmas jumpers, as they listened to speakers, sang carols and heard extracts from the Bible.
Hymn sheets were handed out to the crowd and a woman walked around selling St George's flags and Santa hats. Supporters held candles as it grew dark in Whitehall this afternoon.
Crowds cheered as Tommy Robinson was invited to the stage to give the closing remarks for the rally.
