Major Case Squad Called After Man Found Shot

CAHOKIA HEIGHTS - The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Friday evening on Walnut Street.At approximately 9:11 p.m. on December 12, 2025, officers from the Cahokia Heights Police Department responded to the 3900 block of Walnut Street in Cahokia Heights, St. Clair County, Illinois, after reports of a shooting.Upon arrival, officers found a 67-year-old white male with an apparent gunshot wound. The man was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis was called in to assist with the investigation.
