COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Crews were on the scene of a large structure fire on the east side of I-25 Saturday afternoon.

According to the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD), crews were dispatched to the 3100 block of Century Street around 2:43 p.m.

A CSFD engine was in the area and immediately called for a structure fire response after seeing heavy black smoke. Dispatch also reportedly received around 58 calls regarding the fire.

According to CSFD, the structure appears to be a storage area, and there was styrofoam and other building materials on fire.

Crews initially had issues gaining access to the fire because the building was fenced in, but the bulk of the fire has been knocked down.
