MOUNT PLEASANT — Central Michigan University students took center stage Saturday as nearly 1,100 graduates crossed the stage during three Fall 2025 commencement ceremonies in Mount Pleasant.
The graduating class represented 24 countries, highlighting the global backgrounds of CMU’s newest alumni.
Eighteen students were recognized for exceptional academic achievement after earning perfect 4.0 GPAs and receiving special honors from the Board of Trustees.
Graduates were also part of a traditional smudging ceremony led by the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, marking the moment with reflection and blessing.
