A tragic shooting unfolded at Brown University, an esteemed Ivy League institution in Rhode Island, resulting in two fatalities and eight critical injuries. The event took place at the Barus & Holley engineering building while exams were underway.

Mayor Brett Smiley informed the press that a manhunt is ongoing for a suspect described as male and clothed in black. As of yet, the police have not apprehended any suspects, and details of the victims, including whether they were students, remain undisclosed.

Federal law enforcement, including the FBI, is actively involved in the investigation. From the White House, President Donald Trump described the event as 'terrible' and stressed the importance of prayers for the victims and the wounded.
