1Trumbull, CT – A woman has been charged with perjury and tampering with evidence in connection with a paternity test scandal. Kristen Hogan, 33, allegedly attempted to mislead a court during a custody dispute by presenting her nephew as her son for a DNA test.
According to an arrest warrant, Hogan had previously told the court that her husband was not the biological father of her children. The court had ordered a paternity test, which Hogan arranged to be conducted in April.
Unknown to her, a private investigation firm was monitoring her actions. Surveillance determined that she brought her nephew to the lab instead of her son for the test. The boy was identified as Hogan’s sister’s child in the investigators’ report.
