At least two people were killed and eight others injured in a shooting at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, on Saturday.
As of Saturday evening, the shooter was still at large, according to The Associated Press .
“We are very sorry to share that we have confirmed reports of two deceased victims from the active shooting situation at the Barus & Holley engineering building,” the university shared in a social media post Saturday. “There are eight additional victims in critical, but stable condition at the hospital. There remains a shelter in place order.”
University officials had said they had a suspect in custody, but they later said the person they detained was not involved, The Associated Press reported . View Comments
