A major change to rail timetables in Wales has come into effect. Thousands of people across south Wales are set to benefit from the new timetable which officially changed on Sunday, December 14.

The changes will see trains run later into the night and earlier in the morning. There will also be more trains operating on Sundays and a station is set to reopen. Transport for Wales (TfW) said the changes, which are part of the South Wales Metro development , will be "supporting the night-time economy and offering more options for travelling customers".
