INDIANAPOLIS — In the final minute of Saturday's double overtime against Providence, Evan Haywood 's initial instinct was to get out of the way and clear space for one of his teammates to get to the basket.
A split second later, Haywood is running behind the 3-point line, on the receiving end of a Jamie Kaiser Jr. kick out pass with the game on the line. Haywood caught the pass and fired, sinking the go-ahead 3-pointer with 35 seconds left, sending Butler to a 113-110 win over the Friars.
