Especially this time of year, but throughout the whole year, just please respect the barriers that are put in place. Just stay back."
Authorities say the lookout, which offers sweeping views of Moffat Beach and the Coral Sea, is a popular spot for tourists and locals.
A Queensland Police spokesperson said: "A report will be prepared for the coroner following the sudden death of a teenage girl at Moffat Beach last night, 13 December.
