An active shooter was reported near the Barus & Holley Engineering Center. The university confirmed the fatalities, adding that eight injured were rushed to the hospital and are reported to be in ‘critical’ but stable condition.

Authorities have imposed a shelter-in-place order as law enforcement launches a search operation in the area. Several photos and videos from the scene have emerged on social media.
