MAINE, USA — Friday may start out with some sun early in the day, but it will turn mostly cloudy. Scattered showers and thunder develop from west to east during the late morning and early afternoon. There will be breaks in the rain, but there's a good bet for off and on showers in the afternoon and early evening. It will be cooler with high temperatures only around 70.

Saturday looks driest in southern Maine with partial sunshine. It will be cloudier with isolated showers in northern and eastern Maine especially. High temperatures there will be in the upper 60s, low 70s elsewhere.
