Adam will undergo surgery to repair a ruptured quadriceps tendon on Sept. 3.

Bogaerts (left foot non-displaced fracture) has a four to six week recovery timeline, leaving open the possibility of a postseason return.

King (left knee inflammation) threw a bullpen session Sept. 1 at Petco Park. The next step will depend on how he feels coming out of it, Shildt said.
