Two people are dead after a shooting at an apartment in Kansas City, police said.
Police responded to a shooting call around 5:40 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of Troost Avenue . They were directed to an apartment, where they found a man on the porch and a woman inside, according to Capt. Jake Becchina, spokesperson for the Kansas City Police Department. Both were unresponsive and declared dead at the scene, he said.
Detectives are not looking for any suspects at this time, according to Becchina, who didn’t elaborate. They are working with witnesses to establish a timeline of events leading up to the shooting, he said.
