COHOES, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) made two arrests on Friday in Cohoes.

Cohoes police said the arrests took place during a seatbelt road check on Ontario Street at the foot of the 112th Street Bridge. They said ICE arrested two men. ICE said both had criminal histories.

In addition, 116 tickets were issued, and some vehicles were towed.

ICE told NEWS10 in-part, "All daily routine operations, including those in Cohoes, New York, are consistent with efforts to prioritize the apprehension and removal of individuals who pose significant threats to public safety."
