WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ky. — One person is dead and multiple people are injured after severe weather hit Washington County, Kentucky Friday morning.
The National Weather Service is still surveying the damage; they said at first they believed it to be preliminary EF-1 tornado damage.
As of 6 p.m., the tornado has been upgraded to an EF-2 tornado with wind speeds of at least 125 mph.
Judge Executive Timothy Graves said, among the 14 people, one was a 3 year old who was lost and found, then sent to the hospital.
"We are deeply saddened to report one fatality and multiple people injured during today's storm. Please be respectful during this time. Prayers are needed for this family and our county," Washington County Sheriff's Office said.
