Hazy weekend:
Wildfire smoke is overspreading the viewing area this evening, and will bring us a hazy sky over the weekend. We expect this smoke to hold until at least Monday morning. We aren't expecting much of it to make it to the surface, but a little bit still could . As a result, air quality, while not expected to be awful , could be problematic for sensitive groups.
We're also tracking a weak wave of atmospheric energy that will bring a small rain chance Saturday evening. Rain is most likely (10-20%) in our southwestern most counties. The main window for rain, and perhaps a rumble of thunder will be from 9 pm Saturday to 1 am Sunday.
