OXFORD, Miss. (WLBT) - The Rebels’ postseason is still alive after staving off a comeback attempt by the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in the ninth inning.

With two outs and bases loaded, Kyle Lodise struck out swinging, ending the Yellow Jackets’ (41-20) season and giving the Rebels another shot at Murray State Sunday night.

It was back-and-forth for much of the game, with the Rebels (43-20) taking an early lead, before falling behind in the fourth, tying it up in the sixth, and regaining the lead for the final time in the bottom of the seventh to keep their Super Regional hopes alive.

One of those scores came off a single by Will Furniss. A homer by Campbell Smithwick sealed the deal.
