FBI: Former DC teacher arrested on child sexual abuse material charges

WASHINGTON — The FBI’s Washington Field Office is asking the public for help after arresting a D.C. man on charges related to child sexual abuse material (CSAM.)

Devonne Keith Brown, 56, of Washington, D.C., was taken into custody on Monday, by the FBI’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force. Brown, who previously worked at a school in Northeast D.C., is also believed to have been involved with a youth track club in the area.

According to court documents, Brown allegedly solicited the production of CSAM from a minor he reportedly met in person at a grocery store near the victim’s home in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

The documents go on to allege that an employee for CashApp's parent company "Block Inc." is the one who first got suspicious of crimes being committed.
