GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Authorities are searching for an adult with serious medical conditions who disappeared in Gainesville on Sunday.

Gainesville Police Department officers say Ronald Ramalho, 74, was last seen leaving his apartment on Northeast Second Street around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. His walker was recovered around 4:50 p.m. at the Publix on North Main Street.

On Monday, officers concentrated the search in the area of Tom Petty Park. Florida Department of Corrections bloodhounds were deployed to help with the search.

Officers say Ramalho has a history of confusion, vision and hearing issues, and is diabetic. He does not have any medications with him.

He may be wearing a grey T-shirt, black pants, and a black hat.
