KANSAS CITY, Mo. —

Several families who were injured in the mass shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl rally in 2024 have filed a lawsuit accusing gun sellers, event organizers, and the city of negligence.

The petition, filed June 2 in Jackson County Circuit Court, alleges that the February 14, 2024 shooting, which killed local radio DJ Lisa Lopez-Galvan and wounded 22 others, including 11 children, was “foreseeable and entirely preventable.” Advertisement

The suit names multiple defendants, including gun sellers Frontier Justice and The Ammo Box, gun show organizer R.K. Shows, Union Station Kansas City Inc., the City of Kansas City, the Greater Kansas City Sports Commission, and those accused of taking part in the shooting .
