OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma (KCBD) - The Texas Tech Red Raiders are heading to the Women’s College World Series Championship Series finale.

Texas Tech made history in its WCWS debut, beating Oklahoma, 3-2, which was looking for its fifth-consecutive title.

The Red Raider offense sparked in the second inning, scoring two. Demi Elder hit an RBI triple to score first followed by an RBI single by Bailey Lindemuth.

Texas Tech and NiJaree Canady held on to a 2-0 lead until Oklahoma’s Abigale Dayton hit a two-run homer to tie it up at 2-2 with two outs on the board.

Lauren Allred hit a sac-fly to right in the bottom of the seventh to bring in Mihyia Davis from third after a double by Hailey Toney, walking off the Sooners.
