DALLAS — The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) announced Tuesday it will increase toll rates July 1, implementing its regular, biennial toll rate schedule.

The increase in tolls for TollTag users will increase one penny, from 21 cents to 22 cents per mile, NTTA officials said. This rate increase comes after the NTTA implemented a similar one-cent increase in 2023 . The NTTA also announced in 2023 that drivers using ZipCash (pay-by-mail) rates would be double the TollTag rate.

NTTA officials said its rate increase from 21 cents to 22 cents per mile "will help NTTA repay approximately $8.8 billion in toll bonds used to construct our system of safe, clean and convenient toll roads." The rate increase also helps fund future improvements included in the NTTA Five-Year Capital Plan
