COLORADO, USA — The family of the suspect in a Molotov cocktail attack in Boulder against a group raising awareness of Israeli hostages is being taken into Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody, according to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem .

The suspect, Mohamed Soliman, lives in Colorado Springs with his wife and five children, according to federal court documents. The immigration status of the family members is unclear.

A DHS official told CNN on Tuesday that the family had been taken into ICE custody and was being processed.

Noem posted on the social media platform X about the family being taken into custody.

Soliman, 45, is facing federal hate crime charges and state charges including attempted murder in the attack, which injured 12 people on Boulde
