A boating trip near the Moses Pier in Gulfport took a dangerous turn Tuesday afternoon when a vessel carrying four people capsized, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.

Gulfport Fire Chief Billy Kelley told WLOX that the group—two adults and two teens, ages 17 and 19—was exiting the Gulfport Harbor when their boat picked up speed and struck a wave. The force caused the boat to stand up on the wave and ultimately roll over.

Three of the individuals managed to cling to the overturned boat until rescuers arrived. The fourth person, however, was found unconscious in the water and was quickly pulled to safety.

According to WLOX, that individual was transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance. Their current condition has not been publicly released.
