HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Romello's wall, next his late great-grandmother's Grandfather clock, is where time stands still at Charlene Chavious Thompson's home in the Wythe section of Hampton.

Frozen in time are the photos of joyous moments Romello spent with his brothers, recognition via plaque from his favorite NFL football team, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and a precious photo from the last days of his life that shows him snuggled up in a blanket provided by grandma Charlene, or Gaga, as Romello had called her from his earliest of years.
