NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Metro Council has voted to ask the mayor’s office to investigate alleged toxic workplace conditions at the , which handles 911 calls for Nashville.

The vote came during a lengthy five-hour meeting Tuesday night, following concerns raised in a 2023 workplace assessment and a 2025 anonymous employee email. The assessment highlighted issues with PTO policies, training procedures and internal communication. The email brought forward additional claims of a toxic culture within the department.
