Owen Wilson is leaving his Marvel multiverse adventures behind this summer for a much simpler gig: a sports comedy. Titled Stick, the Apple TV+ series stars Wilson as Pryce Cahill, a washed-up professional golfer who takes up coaching a young prodigy. Think Ted Lasso meets Happy Gilmore , with a whole lot of Wilson.

"When I first started talking to [Wilson] about the show and the character, very quickly I started to understand that the character of Pryce was being taken over by Owen Wilson and inhabited by the guy," creator Jason Keller told Esquire last month . "I've been a fan of his forever, and he's certainly done some emotional work. But in this show I saw him just access some really powerful places. I'm just blown away by the guy as an actor."
