KENNER, La. (WGNO) — Kenner Police arrested 28-year-old Jarred Ambrose for his alleged connection to a shooting that left an 89-year-old wounded.

According to the Kenner Police Department, on May 23 the victim noticed a man driving a motorcycle or moped in a reckless manner. The two exchanged words and the man allegedly pulled out a pistol and fired at the victim. The victim suffered two gunshot wounds and was taken to a local hospital.

According to KPD, on May 26, officers were called to Ambrose's residence after his mother and sister reported that he was firing a gun inside the home. Ambrose said he was firing at an intruder. The family barricaded themselves in rear bedrooms and called the police.
